Secretary Chu Joins with World Leaders to Sign International Partnership for Energy Efficiency Cooperation (IPEEC)
Members of the G8 and the emerging economies of China, India, Brazil, Mexico, and South Korea agreed to exchange views and cooperate on energy efficiency and energy savings in a new high-level forum. U.S. and Italy Sign Agreement to Collaborate on Carbon Capture and Storage Technologies
At the G8 Energy Ministers Meeting in Rome, Secretary Chu and Italian Minister of Economic Development Claudio Scajola agreed to facilitate joint activities of common interest in the field of clean coal and carbon sequestration.
